DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO COMMUNITY AT WORK

From The Peninsula:
From 101 North take the 280 North exit just past Candlestick Park. Once on 280, take the Cesar Chavez Street exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Cesar Chavez Street, then immediately get into the left lane and turn left at the next corner, which is Indiana. Immediately get into the left lane and turn left at the next corner, which is Indiana. Four blocks later turn right onto Tubbs; Community At Work is on the corner on the right hand side of the street.

From Marin County:
After the GG Bridge, take the Marina exit; stay on Marina Blvd. until the Safeway. Turn right, and then one block later turn left onto Bay Street. Stay on Bay Street until it dead-ends into the Embarcadero. Turn right. Stay on Embarcadero all the way to King Street. Stay on King Street until it becomes the freeway entrance for 280 South. Once on 280 take the 25th Street exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right. Go one block on Pennsylvania and turn right onto 23rd Street. Go two blocks and turn left on Tennessee. Drive one block and turn left on Tubbs; Community At Work is on the corner — our door faces Tubbs Street.

From Downtown SF:
Take 4th Street South until it intersects with King Street. Turn right on King Street and go straight until it becomes the freeway entrance for 280 South. Once on 280 take the 25th Street exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right. Go one block on Pennsylvania and turn right onto 23rd Street. Go two blocks and turn left on Tennessee. Drive one block and turn left on Tubbs; Community At Work is on the corner — our door faces Tubbs Street.

From Bay Bridge:
Take 101 South to the 5th Street exit. Turn left (but not sharp left) at the bottom of the exit onto Harrison St. One block later turn left onto 6th street. Stay straight on 6th street until it becomes the freeway entrance for 280 South. Once on 280 take the 25th Street exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right. Go one block on Pennsylvania and turn right onto 23rd Street. Go two blocks and turn left on Tennessee. Drive one block and turn left on Tubbs; Community At Work is on the corner — our door faces Tubbs Street.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION DIRECTIONS TO COMMUNITY AT WORK

1. MUNI by T-line (light rail)

• Take the T-Line INBOUND (east) towards 3rd Street.
• Exit at 23rd Street stop.
• Walk a few steps north to the corner of 3rd Street and 23rd Street.
• Turn left (east) onto 23rd Street.
• Walk one short block to Tennessee.
• Turn right onto Tennessee.
• Walk one block. On the left side of the road as you walk you will see a building that runs the entire length of the block.
• At the corner of this building, turn left. The first door of that same building is Community At Work, (facing onto Tubbs Street.)

2. MUNI by Southbound 22

Take the Southbound 22 bus. Be sure your bus says, “22 – 3rd Steet” – not “22 – Potrero”
• Ride the 22 to the end of the line
• When you exit, you will be on 20th Street
• Look for Tennessee Street, which will be approximately half a block to the west of where you are standing when you exit the bus.
• At Tennessee, turn left (south).
• Walk to 22nd street and continue on Tennessee another half a block. (If you walk past 19th street on Tennessee, you turned the wrong way when you exited the bus.)
• Upon completing the half-block walk, you will arrive at a dead-end cul de sac, with a concrete pathway that leads up a little, gently-sloped hill.
• Walk the concrete pathway and up the small hill. A few steps later you will arrive at an intersection.
• At the intersection look across the street diagonal from where you are standing. You will see a large Community At Work sign on a 2-story warehouse building.

3. MUNI by Eastbound 48

• Ride the Eastbound 48 to the stop at 22nd Street and Tennessee. (This is one stop before the end of the line.)
• When you exit, you will be on 22nd Street, a few steps east of Tennessee St.
• Go to Tennessee Street, and turn left (south).
• Walk half a block. (If you walk more than a block on Tennessee, you turned the wrong way when you exited the bus.)
• Upon completing the half-block walk, you will arrive at a dead-end cul de sac, with a concrete pathway that leads up a little, gently-sloped hill.
• Walk the concrete pathway and up the small hill. A few steps later you will arrive at an intersection.
• At the intersection look across the street diagonal from where you are standing. You will see a large Community At Work sign on a 2-story warehouse building.

4. BART to Muni Light Rail:

• Ride BART to the Embarcadero stop in downtown SF.
• Exit and proceed to the underground MUNI station.
• Take the T-Line (INBOUND) going East towards 3rd street
• Exit at 23rd Street stop.
• Walk a few steps north to the corner of 3rd Street and 23rd Street.
• Turn left (east) onto 23rd Street.
• Walk one short block to Tennessee.
• Turn right onto Tennessee.
• Walk one block. On the left side of the road as you walk you will see a building that runs the entire length of the block.
• At the corner of this building, turn left. The first door of that same building is Community At Work, (facing onto Tubbs Street.)

5. Caltrain:

• Exit at the 22nd Street station.
• Walk up the steps that leave the train station.
• At the top of the steps, turn right. (You will now be on 22nd Street.)
• Walk one half block to Indiana Street.
• Turn right on Indiana, and walk one short block to Tubbs Street.
• At the corner of Indiana and Tubbs, turn left onto Tubbs Street.
• Walk to the end of the block. Community At Work is the last door on the right, on the corner.
